Q. What is it ?
A. A highly modified Portland cement product, which is shot under pressure to old or new concrete
surfaces. It will adhere to virtually any solid surface.
Q. How is it mixed and applied?
A. The cement is mixed with the resin modifier in specific proportions depending on the style and texture
to be applied. Then, with the use of a small air compressor and using between 10 to 30 pounds of air
pressure, the material is sprayed into the surface. A gun and hopper, common in the drywall industry is
used. After the material is dry, roller or airless sprayer applies the third component, sealer
Q. How is the surface prepared?
A. First, the installer will acid etch and pressure was the surface. Next, cracks are repaired by using a
concrete epoxy mix. Pouring some of the material and troweling it to level fills in low areas as well as
flaking concrete.
Q. How do you get different designs?
A. The designs are achieved by stencils or by taping out the design by hand.
Q. How do you get the straight lines?
A. The installer uses a variety of special tapes, which are put down prior to shooting and then picked up
just after setting.
Q. It looks nice, but will it hold up against freezing weather?
A. For the past 9-1/2 years, our product has been installed in both extreme heat and cold and neither has
affected the product.
Q. What happens if the process is applied and then the slab cracks?
A. Our products will do a lot of things, but it will not hold the slab together so it will hairline crack.
However, we can repair, re shoot and reseal the area and it will not lock like a typical concrete patch job.
We can match your design and the color the way it originally was.
Q. What is the minimum temperature for applying the product?
A. It must be at least 45 degrees F.
Q. How long does it take to cure or dry?
A. As with every other cements product, 28 days is the suggested cure time.
Q. When can I use the surface?
A. You may walk on the surface once the sealer is dry to the touch. Driveways, garage floors, aprons, or
any high traffic areas that a car, forklift, etc. Must wait 3-4 full days before driving on them. Most other
area's can be used after 1 full day.
Q. Are any of the products toxic?
A. The sealer that is used for the outdoor applications. The fumes usually will evaporate in 1-2 hours. All
other products and indoor sealer are non-toxic
Q. How long will the job take?
A. A typical job of a apron, sidewalk, driveway, front walkway and front stop will take 3-3 1/2 days from
start to finish, weather permitting.
Q. How do I know it will last?
A. The fact that the product and process is guaranteed for 5 years should tell you something. For the most
part, no on guarantee's concrete, we do.
Q. Can this be changed a few years down the road?
A. Yes, colors and designs can be re-applied and a new look will be achieved.
Q. Other then concrete what else can you do?
A. Our products can be applied on most solid surfaces, both horizontally and vertically?
Q. Can you cover up the control and expansion joints?
A. No, the control and expansion joints are there to permit the concrete to move, If the existing control and
expansion joints were not properly placed when the concrete was poured, we will cut the necessary control
joints into the concrete to keep it from further random cracking.
Q. Can I use this product around my pool?
A. Yes, this is an excellent product for around pools. It is non-skid, cooler than concrete, will not stain or
be affected by chemicals and will blend the old concrete into the beauty or your yard.
